Please PAUSE the "How to Draw a Goat" video after each step to draw at your own pace.
For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.
Step 1: Draw two circles as guides for the goat's body. The circles don't have to be perfect. They're just guides. Instead pay attention to the space between the circles. If they're too far apart, the goat will be too long. The circles should be roughly the same size.
Step 2: Draw a smaller circle on the upper left side as a guide for the goat's head. This circle should be about a quarter the size of the original two. Don't place the circle too high, otherwise the goat will end up with a long neck.
Step 3: Draw two intersecting lines inside the head to help you place the facial features later on.
Step 4: Draw a U-shaped arc on the lower left side of the goat's head as a guide for the muzzle.
Step 5: Draw another U-shaped line inside the head on the lower right side as a guide for the ear. If you want the ear to stand straight up instead of flop down, draw a triangle on top of the head instead.
