The following is a video tutorial where the steps are WRITTEN out within the video:



For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake.



Draw Stegosaurus 1

Step 1: Draw two circles as guides for the stegosaurus' body. They don't have to be perfect. They're just guides. The circle on the left side should be smaller than the one on the right, and they should be right next to each other.


Draw Stegosaurus 2

Step 2: Draw an even smaller circle on the left side as a guide for the stegosaurus' head.


Draw Stegosaurus 3

Step 3: Draw an arc on the left side of the stegosaurus' head as a guide for the muzzle.


Draw Stegosaurus 4

Step 4: Draw four lines under the stegosaurus' body (two below each circle) as guides for the legs. Bend the lines forward at the ends as guides for the stegosaurus' feet and give the lines in the back an extra bend near the middle.


Draw Stegosaurus 5

Step 5: Draw a series of curved lines that connect the major shapes to form the stegosaurus' body.
